Assessment-Grounded Coaching
The profile maps where they are. The coaching arc takes them forward.
When the people decision you're carrying is heavier than another round of feedback can lift — and you need development that goes to the developmental level, not just the behavioural one.
What is assessment-grounded coaching?
You both know what to work on before the first session.
A Readiness Engine assessment produces a structured developmental profile: where the leader stands today, where the growth edge is, and what specifically stands between them and the next level. A certified Readiness Engine coach builds the engagement directly from that picture — so you and your coach start at depth, not after months of discovery.
The engagement ends with a reassessment that shows what moved. You have evidence of what the coaching produced — not just an impression.
From diagnosis to development
A coaching arc designed to evidence change — not just describe it.
01
Assess
The leader completes the Readiness Engine assessment. Structured questions or transcript analysis produces a developmental profile across six constructs — where they stand and what's just above them.
02
Target
The coach and the leader identify the specific developmental leverage points the profile reveals — and build the coaching plan directly from that data. No months of discovery.
03
Develop
Twelve to eighteen months of structured developmental work, with sessions every two weeks. The engagement closes with a reassessment that shows what shifted — at the developmental level, not just in behaviour.
How matching works
Talk to us. We match the coach.
Every coach in the Readiness Engine network is certified in the methodology and works to the developmental level the assessment names. After your intro call, we recommend a coach based on the leader's profile, the decision in front of you, and the practice context where the coach does their best work.
Matching is by judgment, not by browse-and-book. The right practitioner for the work — not the one who happened to have calendar availability.
What changes vs. coaching you've used before
The structure that makes the difference.
| What | Most coaching engagements | Readiness Engine coaching |
|---|---|---|
| Where the work starts | Months of discovery | A structured profile, day one |
| What gets worked on | Behavioural patterns | Behavioural patterns + the developmental level beneath them |
| Shared language | Built session by session | Named constructs and levels from the assessment |
| What you have at the end | Reflections and an end-of-engagement summary | A reassessment that shows what moved — same structure, side by side |
Who this isn't for
This isn't generic coaching. It's developmental work on a specific leader, with a structured assessment underneath. If you're looking for performance coaching, a trusted advisor for yourself, or a coach you can book without an intake call, this isn't the right fit — and we'll tell you so on the intro call.
Frequently asked
What to expect.
What happens during the intro call?
A 30-minute conversation about the leader or team you're carrying and the decision in front of you. We'll talk through how a Readiness Engine profile would shape the coaching that follows, and determine whether this is the right fit. The call is exploratory, not transactional.
How are coaches matched to clients?
After the intro call we recommend a coach based on the leader's developmental profile, the decision in front of you, and the coach's specific practice context. Matching is by judgment, not by browse-and-book. Every coach is certified in the Readiness Engine methodology and works to the developmental level the profile names.
Do I need to take the Readiness Engine assessment first?
Yes. Assessment-grounded coaching is the offering — the readiness profile is what makes the coaching specific to the leader and the decision, rather than generic. Every engagement begins with the assessment.
How long is a typical engagement?
Most engagements run 12–18 months with sessions every 2 weeks. The arc ends with a reassessment that shows what moved at the developmental level — so you have evidence of what the coaching produced, not just an impression.
How much does it cost?
Engagements are scoped to the leader and the decision. We discuss pricing during the intro call once the work is clear.
